Meet the Teachers
Mrs. Paula Hunter
This is my fifteenth year teaching full-day kindergarten at Kruse Elementary. I enjoy the opportunity I have to work with kindergarteners. They come to school so wide-eyed and full of wonder about everything in their world. I find I learn as much from them as they do from me! My background is in early childhood education. I have a B.S. in Child Development with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Colorado State University, my Teaching License from the University of Northern Colorado, and a Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Lesley University. My past experience includes teaching at CSU in the early childhood prgram, working in an infant and toddler program at the Community College of Denver, and operating my own preschool, Mini Moppett Playschool, for six years. My father was a pilot in the Air Force so my early years were spent living all over the United States. My husband Bill and I married thirty-five years ago and made Colorado our home shortly after. We have a twenty-four year old son, Graham, who is a senior at C.S.U. and and a twenty-one year old daughter, Kallyn, who is also a senior at C.S.U. Our youngest "baby" is a cocker spaniel named Skillet.

Who is Mrs. Dolgin?
I am so happy to have your child and your family be part of our classroom this year. I love teaching Kindergarten and after a small hiatus in third grade, I am so glad to be back here in the primary years!
I grew up mostly in Easton, Pennsylvania and went to Susquehanna University to get my undergraduate degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Child Psychology. After graduating, my friends and I decided to jump in our cars for an adventure. We ended up in Colorado and I have never looked back. I fell in love with the majestic mountains, the people, the relaxed speed of daily life, and my husband!
Teaching at a preschool to make ends meet, I fell in love with working with kids. This led me to UNC to get my teaching certificate. I started my teaching career at Kruse Elementary teaching first grade in 1994. I taught first grade for 3 years then moved to literacy at Werner Elementary. As my own kids came along, I decided I needed to stay home to just be mom for a while.
I have 2 children who are both graduates of Kruse Elementary. My daughter, Tailor, is in high school at Poudre IB. My son, Coby, is at at Boltz. Their great expereince at Kruse got me involved in education again. Before I knew it - I was back in the classroom teaching kindergarten.
I look forward to a great year together with your child and you! I believe that our classroom at Kruse is an extension of your home community. I strive to create an atmosphere where children feel safe to learn and grow as the individuals that they are. I also feel that the education of your child cannot be successful unless we work as a team. My door is always open, please come on in- anytime!
